Review on reservation system in India

Reservation is good, but not the way it is understood and implemented in India. They say that you should not discriminate on the basis of caste, yes I agree we shouldn't and we are not doing it, but how come when they themselves are doing this in system. Article 16(4) of the constitution of India lays down that reservation may be made for ‘any backward class of citizens’. This article does not contain the word “caste” but talks about class and then these politicians understood this class as caste and even supreme court of India accepted it as cast. This class shouldn't be divided on the basis of caste it must be divided on the basis of financial conditions of a family. If the families who are not good financially gets reservation, they will grow and will start contributing to economy.
